Jovan Chan

Jovan is a computer scientist and educator with a background in software engineering, robotics and STEM teaching. He holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and a Master’s in Technology Management, both from NTU.

Technical foundation

Bachelor’s in Computer Science and a Master’s in Technology Management, both from NTU, plus several years working as a software engineer.

Robotics background

Competed in school robotics clubs as a student, with hands-on training in building, programming and problem solving under competition conditions.

Youth education

Years of tutoring primary and secondary students in mathematics, science and computing, and teaching computing at polytechnic and university level.

Applied learning

Lessons built around practical projects, debugging and iteration rather than worked examples, so students build confidence by getting things working.

His lessons help students think like engineers and programmers: design a solution, write it, test it, refine it. That mirrors how real software and robotics work actually gets done, and it builds the analytical thinking and resilience that carry into competitions and school.
